The mission of Sankofa Repatriation Assistance Program, Inc., (SRAP) is to act as an incubator in which, we seek to encourage and facilitate the return of descendants of the Transatlantic Slave Trade back to Africa, stimulate the establishment and growth of various start-up companies and other compatible businesses for the repatriates while simultaneously enabling them to return to their true identity and culture and experience more fulling lives free of racial oppression and racial subjugation.
SRAP is a GRASSROOTS campaign. We are asking one million brothers and sisters from the diaspora to commit to donating $1 a month to fund the mission of repatriating our people back to Africa. We are following in the footsteps of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey by using group economics to execute this mission. Once we have reached our financial goal of one million brothers and sisters donating $1 per month, we will move to phase two which is the application and candidate selection and providing repatriation services.
In general, the mission of this business incubator is to increase the successful development of emerging businesses by repatriates in sectors that are supported by a regions unique areas of opportunity. Ideally, repatriate businesses will move out into the community and contribute to the overall vitality, diversity, and growth of the area's economy. This incubator will provide the support and environment that allow repatriates to take an active role in growing their own businesses that will lead to job creation. These new businesses and the new jobs they produce create wealth through multiplier effects and new tax generation to African governments - that ultimately benefits the community beyond the individuals directly assisted by our SRAP.
By fulfilling this mission, the incubator would bring African descendants home, contribute to job creation, and provide for enhanced economic health to the various African regions.
